I build web things

I am Mark Moser

A well-seasoned web developer with an affinity for clean code, workflow optimization, and ruby. I have experiences ranging from HTML prototyping through designing and executing complex API architectures.

I value quality technique and deeply care about doing great work. I enjoy being challenged. Because I love to explore and learn about the world around me, I take pleasure in providing creative solutions to specific needs always keeping the bigger picture in mind.

Server Side

Clearly, I really like working in ruby. It is my go to language whenever I need to spin up a project. I usually go for rails due to the many great conveniences, but have experience with Sinatra as well. That isn't all I work with though. Before I fell in love with ruby, I was quite skilled with PHP. I have created my share of custom WordPress themes, and even a handful of plugins for site specific needs.

Browser Work

I know my way around on the browser side of things too. I can write semantic HTML with a focus on inclusive design, as well as build some great component based SCSS stylesheets.

I've spent some time with React and I use a Grunt based workflow while prototyping static sites, like this one.
